In the past years the introduction of the chemical knowledge had been emphasized and regarded during teaching of experimental chemistry in our country, so the chemical knowledge has become extremely important content in the goal of course teaching either in cognition or technical ability area. Usually, the teachers and students pay more attention to the experimental results or conclusions, and the purpose of the experimental teaching also lies in acquiring and remembering these conclusions. However, they pay less attention to the experimental teaching process. Specially the teaching and the development of scientific thought, scientific quality and scientific attitude, which the education for all-round development advocates, were much less involved in the experiment. There is no doubt that valid implement of the new courses' idea in teaching practice demand us to introspect the traditional teaching of chemical experiments. Since the designing ability of chemistry experiments can mostly reflect the most hypostatic part of the students' experimental ability, the author has made research on the development strategy of the designing ability in teaching of chemical experiments in high school, in order to make the chemical experiments play a more active part in the process of training students' scientific quality. In the thesis, through analyzing the history and present status of the development of teaching of chemical experiments in high school, the author introspected traditional teaching pattern of experimental chemistry and analyzed the meaning, educational function and the theoretical basis of the teaching design of the chemical experiments. In order to make the design of the chemical experiments close to the students' life as near as possible, and to take the students' cognition level and the experimental conditions into consideration at the same time, the author made efforts to make the teaching methods scientific and easy, some teaching contents were adjusted and added to make students feel the magic power of science and the happiness of discovering by experiments. Because the experiment questioning mode has the significance to students' discovery by themselves, it has more advantages in cultivating the creative quality of students. At the same time, the two kinds of modes—the experimental inspecting and questioning, play different roles in teaching. The key point is how to exert their separate functions efficiently at the different stages of understanding. As a middle school teacher who has been working at teaching of experimental chemistry for many years in high school, the author emphasized the teaching strategy of developing the students' designing ability for the experiments the chemistry. The development of the students' designing ability of the experimental chemistry could be achieved through training their basic qualities, cultivating the ability of controlling the experimental conditions, improving the evaluated ability to the experimental design and encouraging the students to exchange, argue, introspect and evaluate the designing plan of the chemical experiments. The study on the teaching design of the chemical experiments accords with the educational thought which the new courses reform advocated. It can not only urge the teachers to renew educational ideas, but also improve the teaching behavior during the concrete teaching practice, and value the cultivation of the students' scientific quality as well. Besides, it is advantageous to cultivate the creative consciousness and practical ability, to change the passive studying method of students, to inspire the students' studying activeness. Thus the main position of students can be established completely.
