Experimental teaching is a special cognition of human beings and it is a unified activity of learning taking students as main body and teaching taking teacher as dominant effect. But the existing demerits of the traditional chemical experimental teaching in our school block the development of students' experimental designing ability. It shows concretely: (1) In classroom teaching of biological experiments, not creating real studying circumstances for students and students only memorizing experiments mechanically, (2)Neglecting the instruction of epistemology and methodology for students and not answering the following questions: Why should we do this? What is the experimental theory? And why should we choose this kind of materials? While, these questions are what a good experiment design needed most. Researching study classroom teaching is the teaching taking research as main. To be specific, it means that in teaching process, the teaching form which is under teacher's induction and enlightenment, on the premise of students' independent study and cooperated discussion and with the basic exploring content of researching subject in currently used teaching materials, provides students sufficient opportunities of free expression, suspicion, exploration and discussing questions and makes students apply their learned knowledge to solving practical problems through many tentative activities of removing doubts and difficulties in the shape of individual, team and group. Thus, the classroom teaching reform focused around researching study is the ideal choice to overcome the demerits of traditional teaching. This is because: (1) Classroom experimental teaching of biology doing researching study is in accordance with the characteristics of biological subjects, actuality of teaching reform and law of students' cognition; (2 ) Classroom experimental teaching of biology doing researching study can make students participate in experiments in their character as the main body and is favorable to answering the above questions and thus promotingstudents' experiment designing ability.This article is through analysis of meaning and characteristics of researching study and theoretical foundation of researching study, borrows correspondent and similar teaching thoughts from foreign countries, explores how to use Researching Subject in teaching materials to carry on Researching Study in experimental teaching of biology and thus promotes students' experimental designing ability. The research is done among Senior Two students of Kunming No. 10 Middle School. Before doing research, the comparing class and experimental class are fore measured and the results of fore measurement accord with the experimental requirements. And then the experiment of researching study will be done by using researching subject in teaching materials. The concrete operations are as follows:To increase experimental theory and the study of general principle of experimental design in the experimental class, then students in each unit will choose questions and work out the experimental design and do exploring activities under teacher's instruction and according to their own experimental design, exploring while amending experimental design. This is to build operational platform of researching study for students in order to change the original passive, memorizing and accepting learning method of students and to form a method exploring knowledge actively and mastering research in exploration. The comparing class only request students operate according to the experimental steps in the textbook. Through experiments and research, the experimental designing ability of experimental class promotes obviously than comparing class.
