With the coming of new century, human society is undergoing unprecedented changes in which education plays an role. So in the recent 10 years, each country has been trying to make educational reforms actively. However, unlike before, the emphasis of this reform has switched to curriculum parts from system or policy parts.In modern times when the spirit of students' creativeness is being paid more attention to, how the chemistry teaching in high schools should be improved or innovated is a problem that is worthy of being carefully considered by all the chemistry teachers in high schools.Considering the lack of interest in learning chemistry, the inefficient result of the chemistry teaching and dissatisfactory grades in exams, the author focuses this essay, The Questionnaire of the Interest in and the Attitude towards Learning Chemistry, on interest and chemistry teaching.The article is divided into three parts. The first part has made a survey to learn about the present situation of students' interest in learning chemistry. Besides, on the basis of the result of the survey, the experiment in teaching innovation, psychology and some other related theories, she gives a detailed explanation of the basic concept of interest, the function of interest in learning and the importance of interest in teaching. The second part makes it clear that it's necessary and important to arouse the students' interest in learning chemistry by teaching it in some interesting ways in the essay. The third part bravely presents the seven principles of developing the students' interest in learning chemistry on the basis of ten years' teaching experience and the students' present situation. According to the seven principles, the author explores and finds six strategies of developing the students' interest in learning chemistry. Among the strategies, the author highlights the importance of the combination of chemistry experiments and daily life. During the course of teaching, she has attempted the seven principles and the six strategies and finds them really helpful in arousing the students' interest in learning chemistry and improving their sense and ability of creativity, which leads to the students' better grades and the improvement of the teacher's teaching.
