With the development of science and technology, the21stcentury has already become abrand new era which is characterized by knowledge application and innovation. Thus sinceearly in the present century China has begun to carry out basic education curriculum reformso as to promote the integral quality of all citizens. Traditional teaching methods applied inthe past tend to hinder students from exercising their initiatives to a certain extent in thelearning process, thus making it difficult for students to take initiative in learning. Therefore,applying interest teaching approaches to make students highly motivated in study is madenecessary in junior middle school physics class.Teachers are supposed to conduct daily physics teaching from both theoretical andpractical aspects and explore feasible teaching approaches to arouse students’ learninginterest so as to promote the efficiency of physics teaching. Physics teaching in junior middleschool serves as enlightening as students enter the world of physics and foundation ofstudents’ framework in physics learning. Therefore, stimulating students’ interest andmobilizing their enthusiasm in learning physics plays an important role because it may lay agood foundation for future physics learning.Based on Multiple Intelligence Theory, the present study analyzes interest teaching injunior middle school from a much higher level. The significance of applying interest teachingin physics class is made prominent after an analysis of the problems existing in currentphysics teaching. Proceeding from the actual conditions of junior middle school physicsteaching, based on previous theories and practices, this paper tentatively proposes a teachingapproach which aims at improving physics teaching in junior middle school. MultipleIntelligence Theory is applied to introduce interest teaching into physics class. Accordingly,physics teachers could carry out teaching plans pertinently so as to stimulate students’ interestin physics learning thus promoting the efficiency of physics teaching.
