Spoken language of teaching, not including body language and facial expressions, is also called teaching language in class, and belongs to the family of teaching language. It is a part of teacher's professional spoken language and is used in the process of teaching as a working language. This kind of language is the extension and application of general spoken language, as well as the improvement and development of it. The level of a teacher's spoken language of teaching directly affects the teaching efficiency, so experts in education all over the world at all times have paid great attention to teacher's spoken language of teaching. My paper "On the Status of Chinese Teachers' Spoken Language of Teaching in Middle Schools and Countermeasures" conducted a survey completely in Songjiang District, Shanghai.According to my survey, the problems in Chinese teachers' spoken language of teaching in middle schools now are as follows: 1. The teachers lack systematic pre-career education, and lack specific trainings in their teaching careers. 2. The teachers lack the sense of speaking perfect spoken language of teaching in the process of teaching and always talk nonsense. 3. The teaching aims are not clear, so the teachers always talk about something meaningless. 4. Spoken language of teaching is not attractive but monotonous. 5. Some teachers don't speak standard mandarin, which more or less affects their expressions.Whereas the problems mentioned above, 1 collated feedback through questionnaires, studied literature, reflected after observations in lessons. According to "the theory of language sense and pragmatics", "the theory of potential course" and "the theory of teaching information management", I think we should change the status of Chinese teachers' spoken language of teaching in middle schools in the following seven parts: 1. Teacher's colleges should enhance pre-career education in spoken language of teaching. The department in charge of education may improve the current status by specific trainings. 2. Chinese teachers in middle schools must learn some basic theories about spoken language of teaching, and must apply theory to practice. 3. Chinese teachers in middle schools should do more self-trainings of language sense to improve the sense of language. 4. Do more course observations to learn from other's spoken language of teaching with pertinence. 5. Watch VCRs of famous teacher's lessons or classical teaching lessons more to improve through appreciation. 6. Prepare for a lesson carefully and prepare some words or sentences that may be used in class. 7. Do more practical trainings of spoken language of teaching.
