The twenty first century will see a full-fledged reformation in Chinese basic education through an examination-oriented one to a quality-oriented one, for which curriculum and teaching mode nowadays has come to be the key points in the basic educational reformation. How can we cultivate creative talents with integrated development by concrete reform in historical education as an important part of quality-oriented one? The combination of leaning history and collecting stamps can be one choice by which we change clearly the method of study and teaching with conformity to the trend for transformation. This article is to interpret the relations between these two in three dimensions of stamp collecting and historical education, stamp collecting and historical education class, stamp collecting and the characteristic courses of middle schools, and to interpret the application (?) stamp collecting to historical education with its possible trend according three cases of classes. And the author makes an analysis of the experience anti success of introducing stamp collecting into the characteristic courses of middle schools as the second class for historical education with the expectation of making stamp collecting better serve historical education in middle schools so as to make historical education play a good role in the pursuit of the ultimate quality-oriented education.
