Study On Student Community Management In College

With reform of college district, college enrollment expanding, credit hour system, and logistics socialization, a new college student residence mode is born; this is called college student community. Studying college student community management can enrich theory of sociology, management, and higher education, build new theory system of student community management, which will be significant for management of student residence in China. Through literature study and systematic analysis, the paper studied the goal, principle, function, subject, object, mode, and content of student community management according to recognizing things' development rule: "what has been done (previous studies)" -"why (question)" - "what is it (definition of question)" - "the process of doing (history and present of question)" - "how to do (my opinion)" - "what should be done (prospect of study)".The following results are presented: (1) Student community has five connotations properly: 1. it is special and independent for zone of residence in geography; 2. there are many kinds of service facilitation in community; 3. the main residents are students; 4. community management emphasizes particularly on self-management on base of logistics socialization; 5. students in community have community attachment.
