Research On Issue Of Poor University Students In Wuhan Institute Of Physical Education

The problem about poor university student is becoming a great issue since beginning of reform and open,especially since 1990s. Following the establish of system of market-regulated economies of socialism and the reform of the share the burden for higher educational cost, it become a social focus and a key point in development of higher education. It also becomes a new issue that is worth looking squarely at and researching for Various departments and universities.In the paper, we do series of exploring and research under the situation.In the past few years , our college took many kinds of measures to help the poor students ,such as"rewarding, loaning, reducing, exempting" and so on. And this obtained certain effect.However,it stillhas some problems and insufficiency.Unifying the special details in our college,the article try to do further research through investigation and study . This article is composed by three parts.First, according to the standard of the poor and specially poor students in Hubei province and the reality, I planed the related researching content and had a random investigation on the poor students and obtained a summary of the poor student' characteristics.Second, the anaysis of problem of poor students in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. To analyze the existing problems and causes according to the investigation. The question should be expounded in two different point of view: Firstly,for some negative factors brought about by poverty,poor college students are faced with many problems,and seriouslyinjury their health in body and mind, as well as blunt their development. Secondly, the finance aid system, scholarship, loan from band, grant-in-aid, subsidy and tuition exempt, still exists some defects and needs to improve.Third , how to deal with the problem. To aim directly at the cause above, considering current situation, I deliver three methods described below: Firstly, we must consummate the finance assistance system in college; enlarge the cover field of scholarship, grant-in-aid and tuition exempt,advanced the governmental aid system, and deepen the mechanism of part-time jobs, and to find new way to help the poor students according to Characteristic of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen political ideology education and mental health education.
