Moral acquisition is an academic and practical model which takes 'acquisition' as the core concept. It is one of the ways of children's moral development. Moral acquisition belongs to the generalized definition of study. It indicates the self-construction and self-perfection of a person's moral through the active and practical communication with outside in his/her life. It is an informal, non-systemic and implicit process.Moral acquisition has great value for children's moral development. However, nowadays there is not much research on moral acquisition and people do not attach enough importance to it in practice. What's more, there is a lack of a series of effective measures to promote children's moral acquisition. However, it does not mean that the moral acquisition is a Utopia of moral. This thesis demonstrates the theoretical foundation of moral acquisition respectively in philosophy, psychology, culturology, ethics, ecology and humanology.The understanding of the basic mechanism of children's moral acquisition is a prerequisite for a better promotion of it. The essential characteristics of children's moral acquisition are unconsciousness and implicitness. It also has the characteristics of transferability, comprehensibility and independence. Therefore, there are differences as well as connections between moral acquisition and moral study (especially referring to the study in the educational situation). This thesis demonstrates the topic respectively in education and psychology. Safeguard of legal, infiltration of religion, deposit of consuetude, edification of family, affect of peers and development of the mass media all have great influence on children's moral acquisition.This thesis aims at promoting the happening of the children's moral acquisition through analyzing its basic manners. Five basic manners are mainly discussed: experience, empathy, imitation, strengthening and edification. Different examples of children's moral acquisition home and abroad are discussed as well to explain vividly the effects and influence of the five basic manners, hoping to have some inspiration for a better promotion of children's moral acquisition.
