The modern era is one full of competition in science and technology, and winning the competition often greatly depends on cooperation. If failing to cooperate with others, one will not be able to meet the demands of the development of the times. Therefore, learning how to cooperate with others is one of the four big education problems in the 21st century. How to develop the students' spirit of cooperation and cooperative capacity has become a widespread concern in our society. Cooperative learning is an important learning method emphasized in the new basic education curriculum reform. Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform, a great number of teachers have had a lot of exploration about how to carry out cooperative learning in the classroom teaching, and have accumulated a lot of experience in practice. However, the advantages of cooperative learning have not been fully found out or made use of. Therefore, on basis of the reality of the implementation of cooperative learning, the author reflects on the problems raised the researches into middle school chemistry teaching, and puts forward some strategies about how to develop the students' cooperative learning capacity. Through the teaching experiments in some classes in Suizhou Second High School, Hubei Province, it is found that carrying out the strategies are good for developing the students' sense of participating actively in cooperative learning and the team spirit of mutual support and cooperation so as to enable them to learn to help and share with each other during the learning process. This paper is divided into five parts.Part 1 introduces some basic relative theories about cooperative learning, such as the social interdependence theory, development theory, constructive learning theory, refined theory, motivation theory and the basic elements of cooperative learning.Part 2 illustrates the significance of cooperative learning in high school chemistry teaching. The author analyzes the main problems in high school chemistry teaching, the relation between cooperative learning and the teaching goals of high school chemistry teaching under the new curriculum. In Part 3, the author puts forward some strategies about how to develop the students' cooperative learning capacity in high school chemistry teaching. This part begins with the discussion on the conditions under which the cooperative learning is carried out in high school chemistry teaching, and then discusses how to develop the students' learning capacity in teaching practice.Part 4 shows the practical research into developing cooperative learning capacity in high school chemistry teaching. The author compares and analyses the changes brought about to students involving the specific teaching experiments to develop their cooperative learning capacity. In Part 5, the author points out the problems that still exist in the high school chemistry cooperative learning as well as the prospects for cooperative learning. Basing on the analysis of related data, the author discusses the problems in cooperative learning in high school chemistry teaching process, and also suggests some solutions to them. At the end, the author believes that there are advantages and good prospects for the development of cooperative learning...
