With the coming of the new century, rising of knowledge economy and the developing of the foundation education course reforms, project teaching which is based on project learning becomes the hot issue in the education reform of the our country foundation and the important problem that the ideological and political teacher has to pay attention to.The project teaching on politics is not only the teaching method and the teaching instruction thoughts, but also an activity of the special subject studies. As a kind of teaching method and a kind of teaching instruction thoughts, the project teaching is a kind of teaching that is to guide students to think actively, investigate a problem independently and feel and experience the creation process of knowledge personally thus to control knowledge, acquire a method, improve an ability and develop frontier spirit by the instruction of the political teacher. As a kind of an activity of the special subject studies, the project teaching is teaching activity that is combined with political teaching content and the society chooses physically to determine the research special subject and use the way of science research to acquire knowledge, apply knowledge and solve problem. Compared with traditional teaching, the project teaching in higher education, the historical project teaching and the other subject's project teaching, the project teaching on politics expresses the different characteristics.The politics wants to carry out project teaching, which currents its theories basis and has its reality value. Theories are including: Piaget's Cognition-development Theory, J·Bruner's Discovery Learning, Vykotsky's Cognitive Developmental Theory, Constructivist Learning Theory, Humanism Theory. Here expresses the reality value: to the country, the project teaching is advantageous to carrying out education for all-round development and training a new talented person; to the school, the project teaching is advantageous to the influence which promotes a school; to the students, the project teaching is advantageous to the comprehensive character which raises a student; to the teachers, the project teaching is the important chance that the teacher develops.Carrying out a project teaching can adopt different concrete implement method and path in teaching politics. Generally speaking, there are the following ones: solving problem type. When the teacher teaches the knowledge of the subject, he doesn't give the conclusion to the students while he guides students to investigate the problem and then to draw the conclusion by themselves; discussing and analyzing case type. There is the case developing, which emphasizes the project teaching mode that the student investigates to the independent analysis of the case; Studying topic type. Students guided by teacher are engaged in and complete the whole research process of a certain topic independently, who obtain related knowledge and the experience topic from it; Designing activity type. This type is the actual operation which requests the students carry on problem-solving in synthesizing an application each section knowledge and technical ability foundation, which is to solve the more complicated operation problem by aiming at an actual design teaching activity.
