The physics is an experiment science. The physical experiment is not only the basic means which acquires sensitive material, explores physical rules and knows physical world, but also the only standard to verify physics theories. In the course of the emergency and development of physics, physical experiments are holding an extremely significant post and playing a tremendous role from beginning to end. Physics comes from productions, daily life and scientific experiments and therefore, observation and experiments are the primary method to study and research physics. Physical experiments and teachings are performed not only to cultivate students'abilities of observation and thinking, starting work and operation, analyzing and solving problems, and creation, but also to train their scientific attitude for seeking truth from facts, good learning customs and strong interests. Especially at present when quality education is enhanced, experiments are a main approach to implement quality education. However, it is still universal that phenomena of paying attention to theories and neglecting experiments, or attaching much weight to results and lightening courses exist in physical teaching of middle school, leading to experimental classes becoming formalistic.It is particularly emphasized in the"physical course standard of senior high school"issued by the Education Department in March ,2003 that training of physical experiments is an important component in the structure of primary education, a significant activity for middle school students to know the world and the foundation for carrying out scientific researches. It also holds a unique status and role to cultivate quality and creative talents, to improve the scientific quality of overall students and to encourage the entire development of students.It is an emergency of the moment to implement new educational concepts in the"physical course standard of middle school"and promote the reform of physical experiment training of middle schools in China.This text at first explains that the physical experiment plays an important role in the physical teaching, and then looks back to the development of physical experiment teaching in senior high school after the found of our country. It is pointed out currently the problems such as"with induction knowledge for lord, neglect experiment teaching" existing in the physical teaching of senior school in China.The existence of these problems expresses that the physical experiment teaching of senior high school in our country is a weak link.It falls behind theirs in some developed countries.This text explores and analyses the reasons that caused the physical experiment teaching of senior high school in our country fall behind, from the five factors as history origin of thought, science and technology, science education, science, education. And then, it analyses the develop circumstance of experiment teaching in some developed countries, and points out some proper advices under the principle of students'general develop and various teaching methods co-existence on the basic of standing our national reality and exampling their some modern experience.In the meantime, for speed our country of senior high school physics experiment the reform in education, it provides some valid paths. I hope it has benefit to the reform of physical experiment teaching in senior high school of our country currently.
