In the wave of basic education innovation, the integration of information technology (IT) into curriculum has become a main research field. How to effectively integrate IT into subject teaching and learning is the focus of IT experts and teachers in basic education. A case study was applied in order to know the highest level of the integration in senior English in Jilin Province. Questionnaires, interviews and observations are the main research methods in this study.The paper is divided into four chapters. In the introduction part, the background information and purposes are presented. Chapter One is about the literature review, including term definitions, theoretical support and relevant research findings in and abroad. The research methods are stated in Chapter Two. The current level of integration is analyzed in detail in Chapter Three. At the end, some suggestions are promoted.The research findings are listed as follows:1.The current level of the integration of Information Technology into English learning is investigated by the methods of questionnaires, interviews and observations. Results show that the integration is embodied through computer assisted English learning in multimedia classrooms. Both teachers and students hold positive attitude to it. The effectiveness and influences are more on the changes of teaching style rather than that of learning style.2.Three suggestions are made. One is a Chart on Integrating Information Technology into English Learning. One is to promote staff training on web-based integration. The other is to set up English teaching and learning resources.
