We have made lots of progress since the reformation of English teaching&learning in senior middle school in1985. But there still exist many problems, such as the traditional stiff and dull modes of a textbook, a mouth, a chalk and a blackboard. It is difficult to arouse the interest and enthusiasm of students. And it is difficult for students to find a good way to practice their English listening, speaking, reading and writing. So they are lacking in positive psychology. It cannot meet the need of the students’personality development and alternative&individual development. So it should be improved in teaching modes.With the development of teaching technology and concept, the application of IT in the English teaching&learning in senior middle school will build up their interest and confidence; it is better for students to get more English learning materials and build up the base of English cultures, customs and other backgrounds; it is good to help students to develop positive psychology in learning English and to improve the communication between teachers and students. It is very helpful for students to develop their abilities in English Inquiry Learning.Aiming at the application of IT in the English teaching&learning in senior middle school, the thesis firstly reviewed the theories and related studies at home and abroad, on which a research is conducted to find out some problems of English Teaching and Studying. To solve these problems, some practice is carried out in the application of IT in the formation of the knowledge and background before English reading, the improvement of students’ integrating skills, teachers’IT teaching wares and foundation of English context while reading, and the extension and consolidation of English listening, reading, speaking, and writing after reading, and it turns out to be good. At last, it gives three cases to show the benefit of the application of IT in the English teaching&learning in senior middle school.
