English is a language which is the most widely used in the world. With the development of globalism, having a good master of English has become more and more important. As an important aspect of English application, writing can reflect a person's English proficiency to a great extent. However, the result of some research has shown that the English writing ability of senior middle school students is not very good on the whole. English writing teaching and learning have always been a weak point in senior middle school.With the development of modern information technology, a lot of work has been done to apply information science and technology to education area to enhance the efficiency of education, among which integrating information technology and curriculum is one of the most heated discussed topics. According to the spirit of new curriculum reform of Chinese basic education and some modt.rn educational theories which includes Curriculum Integration Theory,Constructivism Theory and Second Language Acquisition Theory, referring to some related research home and abroad, this research aims to design and develop a special teaching and learning website of senior English writing.This paper consists of seven chapters which are as follows:Chapter 1 elaborates the background, significance of this research, some related research home and abroad, research content and difficult points and research methods.Chapter 2 firstly defines three terms appearing in this paper. And then introduces the basic theories of the research, including Curriculum Integration theory, Constructivism theory and Second Language Acquisition theory.Chapter 3 analyses the present situation of senior middle school English writing teaching and learning and the main problems existing in them. The reasons that lead to these problems and the importance of English writing teaching and learning are also elaborated in this part. And four English writing teaching methodologies are introduced in this chapter, too. At the last part of this chapter, an ideal English writing teaching and learning model supported by information technology is presented.Chapter 4 describes the design and development of a special website of senior English writing teaching and learning in details.Chapter 5 designs a plan to apply the special website to practice.Chapter 6 summarizes the work that has been done for this research and analyses the possible innovation and deficiencies of the research.
