After researching the experts'interviews'consultation and questionnaires, gaining the ideas from specialists in the field of other subjects and academics of the athletics ability, and also getting the basic views of the sports specialists on this field, all these analysis show that the unprofessional consider that there was accepting possibility, but the specialists consider that there are hypothesize and the functional disproportional items.As concerning to the problem of unclear concept and connotation of"athletics ability"and functionary generalization, I redefined it according to combining research of the logical principle and the reality of athletic sports. The new concept points out that"athletics ability is the comprehensive ability that an athlete shows in the athletic field based on the individual practice."There is also a clear explanation of the scope of athletics ability and revised definition after changing the unclear factors and the tautology of the concept. Based on this foundation and the "Pareto" analytic method to promulgate athletics ability basic characteristic foreword position and the level, it set up the general concept system of"athletics ability". The research has carried on the quantitative and qualitative double-decked promulgation to the connotation of the new definition about athletics ability. The quantitative description based on qualitative foundation reveals that athletics ability connotation characteristic include the healthy physical ability, the athletics physical ability, the working ability, the technical ability, the skillful ability, the performance ability, the resistance ability, the strain ability, the coordination ability, the control ability, the bearing ability and so on 11 essential factors, which show the essence attribute of the athletics ability .The qualitative description based on quantitative foundation reveals that the connotation of athletics ability is composed of the basic level of the physical abilities and the technique abilities , the core level which includes athletics conformity abilities and the auxiliary level which includes athletics control abilities. Integrating with the performance of athletics on the sport, it is believed that basic level demonstrates athletics level; core level demonstrates athletic state, auxiliary level demonstrates athletics mastery. Above on the research results, the article finally has constructed athletics ability system structure, which has united three levels, three shapes, 11 essential factors , forms the newest theory frame of athletics sports related to athletics ability research in our country.
