The current education involves many test questions,including example classroom questions,after-school exercises,periodic tests,and even final summary evaluation tests.Educators often use various types of questions to strengthen students' understanding of physical knowledge and evaluate students' mastery of relevant knowledge.At the same time,educational researchers understand students' physical thinking by answering.The importance of test questions to education is evident.However,there are many types and types of test questions,and the test functions and evaluation effects of different question types are different.After determining the purpose of the test questions,the choice of question type is particularly important.The types of questions often used in physics education are multiple choice questions,blank questions,short answer questions,and calculation questions.MTF questions have been studied in the fields of biology,English,and medicine,but they have not been used in the field of physics education.Existing research finds that there is a certain correlation between multiple choice questions and MTF questions for the same test content;there is a certain correlation between MTF questions and short answer questions for the same test question content.Most of these studies were found in the fields of biology and English education.MTF questions have less research in physics,and less research in the evaluation of physical concept and law.Therefore,this paper draws on existing research,mainly analyzes the response of MTF questions,multiple choice questions,and short answer questions,so as to explore the evaluation effects of multiple true and false judgment questions.The main research work is as follows:(1)Use the literature method to know the classification of various question types.Analyze the application of multiple-choice questions,multiple true and false judgment questions,and short answer questions.(2)Analyze the requirements for students to master the physical concept and law in high school,and the related applications and research on the force concept inventory.The force concept inventory are adapted into multiple choice questions?MTF questions,and short answer questions.(3)Analyze the response of students in Tibet,Sichuan and Guangdong.Study the use ofmultiple-choice questions,MTF questions,and short answer questions in testing mechanics concept and law.(4)Analyze the differences in the level of physical mastery presented by students in different types of questions.In order to compare the score differences between MTF questions and multiple choice questions,MTF questions and short answer questions.The study found that students in the three regions from the lowest to the highest scores in multiple-choice mechanics concept and law are: students from Tibet,students from Sichuan,and students from Guangzhou.The lower the scores faced by students,the greater the difference between multiple-choice questions and MTF questions.Both multiple-choice and short-answer questions score higher than MTF.When students have a high level of knowledge and fully understand the questions,the differences between MTF questions,multiple choice questions,and short answer questions are smaller.On the one hand,the scoring rate for multiple choice questions is usually higher than the scoring rate for MTF questions.That is to say,under the premise of the same content of the test questions,the difficulty of MTF questions is higher than that of multiple choice questions.In the testing and evaluation process,when teachers have higher requirements for students,MTF questions can be used instead of multiple choice questions.On the other hand,some differences between MTF questions and short answer scores come from students' unclear understanding of short answer questions.The knowledge points of the MTF questions examination are presented through options,and short answer questions do not have this additional limitation.The students' answers are different from the knowledge points of the question examination,so the short answer question score is lower.In addition,the short answer question score is higher than the MTF questions score.MTF questions are more difficult than short answer questions.In short,when students understand the questions clearly,MTF questions are more difficult than multiple-choice and short-answer questions.The higher the students' physical level,the less obvious this difference is.After analyzing the students' answers,it was found that the evaluation effect between MTF questions and multiple choice and short answer questions has advantages and disadvantages.(1)Multiple-choice questions overestimate students' mastery of most questions compared to MTF questions.MTF questions present students' independent recognition of each option in detail.This makes the evaluation of test questions better,and the students' physical level is more detailed and feedback to teachers,which promotes the effective teaching.(2)Short answer questions can show students more realistic physical thinking.When judging specific knowledge,there may be irrelevant answers,that is,"answers are not asked ".MTF questions more directly reveal the grasp of a specific knowledge than short answer questions.When examining a specific knowledge,a well-designed MTF problem can largely judge the students' mastery of this knowledgepoint.The scoring of MTF questions is objective,and scoring can be done by artificial intelligence to save teacher resources.The scoring of short answer questions is subjective,and there will always be some errors in artificial scoring.In the force concept inventory,MTF questions are compared with multiple-choice questions and short-answer questions to understand students' scores in the face of the questions.Facilitate teachers or educational researchers to better understand the application of MTF problems in mechanics concept and law.In future educational research,the use of MTF problems reasonably demonstrates the level of students' mastery of physical knowledge,a more detailed understanding of students' thinking patterns,and a grasp of students' learning status.Thereby give full play to the evaluation function of MTF question type in physics teaching.More realistic reflection of students' physics learning level.Provide more choices for physics test exercises,periodic tests and even academic level tests.
