According to our new round basic education course, we highly advocate these learning methods, they are: learn independently, cooperation learning, learn by exploring, whose core is to encourage students to learn by themselves.A learn independently process is such kind of learning method, that is during the whole learning process, the learner that is student need to explore and develop their learning motivation to the fullest and actively construct their knowledge structure and consistently do adjustments to their learning process and learning condition. The ability to learn independently includes the ability to do self-orientation, the ability to make their choice, the ability to do self-inspection as well as the ability to develop by themselves. Under the theoretical guidelines of the connotation of learning by themselves, humanism learning theory, structuralism learning theory, cognition learning theory, metacognition learning theory as well as lifelong education concept, combined with the current chemistry teaching condition of the high school we build and practise two types of teaching modes on the ability of learning independently ,one is tutoring by self-study the other is exploring by doing experiments and make the related teaching strategies of them as well.(1) Believe in students'ability to learn by themselves and provide the time and room for them so that they have chances to learn by themselves.(2) Stimulate students'motion to learn by themselves and make them to learn willingly.(3) Strengthen the tutoring on the chemistry learning methods and make sure that students could apply these methods into chemistry learning.(4) From the perspective of the special characters of chemistry, students are encouraged to learn and explore by doing experiments themselves.(5) Instruct the students how to conduct cooperation learning thus improve their self-taught learning quality.(6) Instruct students to do self-evaluation, self-exam, self-inspection and help them to develop their ability to learn independently.Based on the foregoing theoretical conceive we choose grade one students of LongZhou middle school of ChongZuo City as our half year's teaching study object and illustrate our implementation condition through four teaching cases. During the teaching process, the experiment class is run under the mode of learning by themselves combined with it's related teaching strategies; on the other hand, the comparison class is run completely by the conventional chemistry teaching method. Before and after this experiment we conduct some tests on the two classes students'ability to learn by themselves, their interests on learning chemistry as well as their academic scores then we do the analysis and statistics by using the SPSS statistical software. The results said that: after the experiment the students in the experimental class show more superiority on their initiative to learn by themselves, their chemistry scores, the ability to learn by themselves, their interests on learning chemistry than those of the comparison class, and most importantly, the distinction between the two are so big. By talking with students and doing evaluations on their learning quality, we further prove that the experimental class students'ability to learn by themselves, and their interests on learning chemistry are increased. So, a conclusion that based on the experiments study was brought: the teaching mode of cultivating students'ability to learn by themselves that we build in the chemical teaching of middle school is effective and feasible.According to our experience we drawn from teaching experiments, analyzing and discussing the reasons why this teaching strategy is effective as well as the existing problems of this study in the process of practice, we bring out our teaching advice on how to put this mode and strategy into practice.Due to the limitation of writer's theoretical knowledge, practical experience and teaching time, the conclusion we get from this experiment needs to be further tested and the teaching mode needs to be improved as well.
