An Investigation Report About The Outside Reading Of The Senior Student In Depressed Area

Outside reading is the main component part in reading teaching and isthe supplement and extends of inside reading. Outside reading has becomean important way to enlarge students' ken, to enhance their spirit, and tocultivate their cultural attainment. However, in what status is the Outsidereading of the Senior students in depressed area? How about their readingconditions, inclines of interests and attitudes to reading? What helps willthey need when reading? Because of the question, researches have beencarried out among three middle schools in Longhui, Hunan. Statistics havebeen analyzed about the status and the reasons for its existence.Countermeasures have been put forward to treat existing problems.The dissertation can be divided into four parts.Firstly, a brief introduction. The author made a description of herinvestigation in it. It includes the intention of the investigation, who areinvestigated, what the investigation is about and how to investigate it.Secondly, calculate and analyze what the author get from theinvestigation.there are five aspects:a) outside reading attitude of senior students in depressed area; b) outsidereading inclines of senior students; c) outside reading conditions of seniorstudents; d) directions from teachers and parents to outside reading ofsenior students; e) strategies and methods of students' reading.Thirdly, research into the reasons for the above status.It take measuresfrom four aspects:the society, the school,the family and the individual.Fourthly, countermeasure: a) update the conception,fully realize theimportance of the outside reading; b) create favorable reading atmosphere;c) develop the resourses of theeading; d) emphasize teachers' directions; e)take some necessary testing actions to be a guide to students' reading.
