Research On "Double Shoulder Task" For Cadres In Universities

"Double Shoulder Task" mode plays a great part in the development of higher education, but it gets dispute nowadays. With the progress of society and economy, higher education has made enormous progress. While the Tower of Ivory is on the way into society, university administrators take on greater responsibilities. As an import part of university administrators, cadres with double duties have unique advantage as well as realistic disadvantage. So how to exploit the potential and exert the function of cadres with double duties are the problems that exist in the development of Higher Education.This article bases on the theory of Higher Education Management and Organization and the investigation on three representative universities in Guangzhou. They are Sun Yat-Sen University, South China University of Technology and Jinan University. Starting from the present situation of cadres with double duties, the author deals with the conditions of relevant staff using statistics and analyzes both the advantage and disadvantage of that mode. On the basis of the analysis, it is conceived that management of cadres with double duties and the developing trend of university administrators.
