On the basis of a series of preparations, the research works out the Scale of School Adjustment for Adolescents. Then the researcher selects 1048 adolescents from 8 schools in Jinshan District of Shanghai in order to explore the characteristics of adolescents' school adjustment in primary and junior middle schools. Furthermore, the study discusses its influencing factors of family systematically. Then the researcher does some case studies for disabled students in school adjustment.By analyzing the data from investigation and case studies, conclusions are obtained as follow.(1) The percentage of disabled students in school adjustment is 16.6%. There are significant differences of adolescents' school adjustment among districts, genders and grades. Students in cities have higher scores of school adjustment than those in rural areas. Girls are better than boys in school adjustment. And the achievements of students' school adjustment grow firstly and descend later with the grade moving upward.(2) The achievements of adolescent school adjustment are significantly influenced by factors in family. In the aspect of ration variables, Cohesion, Intellectual-Cultural Orientation, Moral-Religious Emphasis, Conflict, Expressiveness and Organization can significantly predict the achievements of school adjustment. And there are significant differences in family ration variables between well adjusted students and disabled students except variables of Independence and Control. In the aspect of nature variables, the main fosters, only-child or not, parent-offspring's relation, educational methods of parents, family relationship, communication frequency, the level of parents' expectation and family's economic situation can affect students' school adjustment significantly. But parents' educational level and their jobs cannot take significant effects for school adjustment.Finally, based on the analyses above and information getting from case studies, the study gives some advices to enhance adolescents' school adjustment.
