The notions of course are the basis and core part of education. Without the light of notions, the courses in education would be blind, aimless, and will lost directions sooner or later, with the foreseeable ending at the wrong destination, just like those who sail without a compass. This study started from the angle of phenomenal education, elaborated the notions of course in physical education (P.E.) and tried to provide a new idea to the development and revolution of P.E. revolution.Based on the review of phenomenal education, this study analyzed the correlated concepts of notion, the notion of course, and the notion of course in PE by applying the methods of bibliographic information retrieval, comparison analysis, and historical research. In addition, this study gave a brief review on the development of notion of course in P.E. in China, and furthered the exploration this concept within the field of phenomenal education from four levels: the education contents, education process, education methods and the teacher-student relationship. In the end, the study summarized the enlightenment of phenomenal education to the modern physical education.The result of this study is neither a sort of education technique nor an education method. It is a notion of education, and moreover, it is a mode of thinking, i.e. productive mode of thinking. The utilization strategy of this notion is multidimensional. In reality, it more concentrate on the modes of learning in understanding, realization, perceptual cognition, and practice. While in the details, it uniquely employs the active education method by replacing the parents'role with teachers, and also uses the methods of PE exploration education, realization education, real-time education, and cooperation education. Therefore, it could take the full advantage of the modern education techniques, and pay more attentions to the combination of student's perceptional cognitions, feelings and wills. As the consequence, it will be very helpful to the students in developing their bright and cheerful disposition. Through its improvement on the PE education content, it strengthens the connections between students and society by concentrating on improving the students'appreciation of beautifulness and moral standards, and brings into play the students'perceptual, feeling, practice, cognitive, interactive, self-questioning and creative activities. As to the relationship between students and teachers, it requires a turning from the role of merely passing of knowledge from teachers to students to a more equal interaction between them. The PE under the phenomenal education requires paying more attention to the feelings of students. By using the active education methods, replacing the role of parents with teachers and setting up a real-time surrounding, it aims to activate the mood of students, to strengthen the interactions between students and teachers and to construct the feeling-oriented PE course. Also we can use the comparison methods to reorganize the PE education system through the feeling-oriented education. Besides, we can use all kinds of auxiliary methods to strengthen the students'feeling-oriented study. In all, the ultimate goal is to energize and rejuvenate the Physical Education, and turning it from the current"desertification"status, which is a result from the various flaws in our current education system, to an"oasis"as the way it should be.The value of this study lies in where it follows the internal rules of PE; cares more about the students'life themselves and pays more attention to the active participation of students. In the references to other relative theories and based on the practical experiences, the study tried to systematically explore and organize the basic theories of the PE course revolution in China, and also tried to amplify and develop the theoretical research of PE courses. At the same time, it will also be helpful to the practice of the course revolution and makes some break through along with the revolution.
