Nowadays, people pay more attention to the emotional method in English teaching. In order to help the students to establish their abilities to learn a foreign language well, we should pay attention to their emotional status and their development. As English teaching in high schools usually has a closer relationship with emotion, teachers should not only develop students' ability of the language studying, but also help them build up a proper emotional attitude .It is very important for English teachers to guide the students to build up the abilities of communicating, the cooperation with others, self-esteem as well as inter-comprehending.A cooperation program called The International Section of Hongshan High School has been running for two and a half years. Both teachers from China and Canada teach the students in this section. Making it clear that what kind of emotional status these students are in can be of great significance in emotional education research.This thesis consists of seven chapters. To begin with, it introduces the background of the research. In the first two chapters, it touches on the study of psychological basis of emotional education. The third and forth chapters focus on the survey of emotional education for English teaching in Hongshan High School, aiming to abstract the strategies. Strategy analysis has been put in the fifth chapter and an experiment related to these strategies is in the sixth chapter. Chapter seven is about the conclusion showing that the teachers should strengthen effective emotional education methods in daily teaching and only in this way, can they help the students build up right philosophy, views of world and value, strengthen their social responsibility and their human quality.
