Mathematical Communication In Middle School

Nowadays, more and more attention has been paid to the development of students' creative abilitiies and personality .Meanwhile, the communication of ideas has caught grant attention of many educaters . Mathematical communication does not only provide an opportunity for students to descvibe their thinking process, but also help them make their thinking clear. Mathematical communication plays an important rolein deepening students' understanding of konwledge , developing their telligence , and nuturing their creative thinking skills.In this thesis ,we firstly give an operational definition of mathematical communication. We then did a survey to investigate the current status in shool. Finally, we proposed several strategies to develop students' abilities for mathematical communitication and did the experimental study. The results have revealed that mathematical commumication has a positive effect on students' mathematics learning.
