With the rapid development of the information technologies, the education industry competes so violently after our country rejoined in WTO. It's very important that domestic distance education organizations strengthen their core competence, gaining their competitive advantage in the market of education.The distance education's core competence is affected by many factors, including administration, resource, service, teachers, cost, technology and features, while the key factor is its learning support system. Some of typical schools of the distance education were chosen to compare. The evualtion system for the core affective factors is set up. Through experiential investigation, the score of the core competition is gained. And the shortage and the way to imrprove the competitive advantage of the core effective factors of the core competitiveness is concluded and analyzed.First of all, the research background and its significance, the research content, steps and methods are introduced. Then it's the foundation of theories, including the research on distance eduction, core competence and the core competence of modern distance education. After that, it turns to the research on the influencing factors and the core influencing factor. Different distance education schools are chosen to compare and analyze their influencing factors of the core competence. Consequently the conclusion is drawn. Finally, through the evaluation of the core influencing factors of the core competence, the detailed data are gained and final coclusion is drawn.
