The homework is not only a part of the teaching process but also one of the forms showing the relationship of knowledge and power in teaching process, and a display way of students life and contacts. In the modern schools influenced and impacted rationalism and industrialization ideology, the homework has been a model.And its intrinsic value is shadowed by external utilitarian purpose, so the homework has become a tool to control the students. Then what is the form of the homework in teaching? How does it function? From philosophical perspective to analyse the homework ,this paper showed the homework itself is not so simple as what we normally think of, it suffers the control of some knowledge and the domination of some power, thus endowing the homework with certain strength. When it meets the students, the relation between them is complicated and delicate: or obedience, or ignorance; or suspension, or internalization ,or resistance; or obedience with resistance or unconscious internalization with resistance.The homework itself appears in the teaching process, and it should reflect the student activities, student development, neither as the means to control students,nor as the tool of other purposes In the process of school education, students' growth and development is the aim of education, there should not be any other purpose above it. The homework itself has no problem, but its own content (life, contacts, and experience) value has been ignored, replaced by the utilitarian value of the control of the teaching. The industrialized ideological trends are not the dreadful monsters to be discarded as long as they have no hegemony to make everything monolithic. There originally exist many kinds of knowledge in the society, the homework should also be colorful, and the school education should not become a knowledge-control mode, otherwise the education will exert the opposite effect.Based on the above, The pupils' homework need to reform. The homework must embody the characteristics of their own lives, realize its value of guidance and meet every student's different development need. Everyone reads the text differently, pluralistic discourses are reasonable, hence it is the prerequisite for the students' homework for reform and innovation, and the same with the development of students.
