The ability to solve conflicts is a very important social skill for infant to communicate with peers. The level of the ability may directly influence the quality of the relationships between infant and their ability to adapt the society. If the conflicts can be solved by negotiation and cooperation, infant can gradually consider others'views and demands during the period of conflict resolution, and learn to compromise to, negotiate with, help and cooperate with each other, and improve their social communication abilities. To the contract, if the conflicts are solved by force or direct attack, the conflict can only influence the healthy development of infant negatively. In recent years, there have been many scholars in and abroad who research on the resolution to the problem of infant conflict from the viewpoint of conflict resolution strategy orientation. It is shown in these researches that the individual family, environment, cultural tradition and personal characteristics will influence the application of resolution strategies. The thesis would first make comprehensive literature summary of Chinese and foreign researches about the resolution strategies to infant conflicts. At the same time, it will analyze the problems in current researches, and raise the problems of the research on this basis, and make two demonstration investigations for Chinese infant, i.e. use the method of individual examination to discuss the development characteristics of the resolution strategies of conflicts between infant of 3-5 years old. And further discuss the relationships between the resolution strategy of infant and the parenting style of infant. The research will also present some suggestions for family parenting education and the kindergarten teacher education on the basis of research results, so that the social stills and personal accommodation ability of infant can be improved.Research I: The method of individual investigation is used to ask infant to assume resolution strategies of conflicts with peers freely and examine the development characteristics of the conflict resolution strategies of infant.Research II: Questionnaires of parenting style are filled by mothers to examine the relationships between parenting style and the conflict resolution strategy of infant.The results of the two researches show that:1. The ability for infant to present conflict resolution strategy becomes improves with the increase of age, and with the increase of age, they will improve their cooperation and negotiation strategies in conflict resolution. The ability of infant to deal with conflict between object and space will be stronger than the abilities to deal with other conflicts.2. The strategy of compromise is a major resolution strategy for infant to conflict; however, there are also some differences in the resolution strategies to different conflicts: in the conflicts of object and space, and intervention control, infant more often use force or direct attack strategy, and in conflict of games, infant more often use the strategy of cooperation and negotiation, and in the conflict of intended defiance, infant more often use the strategy of asking for help from the third party.3. When facing the problem of conflict, girls more often use the strategy of asking for help from the third party, while boys more often use the strategy of compromise.4. Boys more often use the strategy of force or direct attack in the resolution of conflicts with peers of their same or opposite sex; girls more often use the strategy of force or direct attack in the resolution of conflicts with peers of their same sex, and use the strategy of asking for help from the third party in the resolution of conflicts with peers of the opposite sex.5. Facing the problem of ordinary conflict with peers, infant more often use the strategy of force or direct attack; while facing the conflicts with their good friends, they more often use the strategy of cooperation and negotiation.6. Popular infant more often use the strategy of cooperation and negotiation, and infant who are usually refused more often use the strategy of force or direct attack.7. The activities of argumentation to infant by parents are more in the group of 5-year-old infant than the group of 3-year-old and 4-year-old infant.8. The parenting style of authority is significantly higher than the style of arbitrariness.9. The more parents take the parenting style of arbitrariness, the more infant use the strategy of force or direct attack. For each factor of the arbitrary parenting style, the more parents use corporal punishment and verbal attack, the more infant use the strategy of force or direct attack. For each factor of the parenting style of authority, the more parents use accommodating activities, the more infant use the strategy of cooperation and negotiation.
