This research takes university students from a certain university in Beijing as the research object.Through two studies, using questionnaire survey, experimentation and interview methods,it explores the characteristics of university students' viewpoint selection and conflict resolution strategies,as well as the influence of the former on the latter.Research one uses the Chinese mainland version of the Interpersonal Response Index Scale and the student version of the Conflict Questionnaire(ROCI-?)to measure the level of viewpoint adoption and conflict resolution strategy characteristics of college students, and to investigate whether there are differences in gender, ethnicity, discipline, and grade between the two.At the same time, the relevant analysis of viewpoint selection and conflict resolution strategies is carried out to explore whether there is a correlation between the level of viewpoint selection and the use of conflict resolution strategies of college students.Research 2 is based on research 1 that has confirmed the positive correlation between viewpoint selection and conflict resolution strategy usage by college students. It uses hypothetical situational experiments to further explore the impact of viewpoint selection on college students' conflict resolution in specific conflict situations, and examines the initiation of viewpoint selection and non-compliance.What are the differences in the thoughts and behaviors of the two groups of subjects who initiated the viewpoint selection in the same conflict situation? The results of Study 1 show that:(1)There are no significant differences in gender, ethnicity, discipline, and grade in the perspectives of college students;(2)There are significant gender differences in the use of dominance strategies among college students, and men use dominance strategies more than women.(3)College students show significant disciplinary differences when using avoidance strategies.Science and engineering college students use avoidance strategies more than college students in literature and history;(4)Perspective selection and conflict resolution strategies show a significant positive correlation. The results of the second study show that:starting point of view selection is helpful to the conflict resolution of college students. In the context of peer conflict in daily life, activating opinion picking will allow individuals to choose more constructive conflict resolution strategies, such as collaborative strategies. In the context of physical conflict, the initiation of opinion picking is helpful to the individual's emotional management.Based on the above research results, and drawing on the theory and practical experience of international peace education and conflict education,we put forward relevant suggestions for the development of peace education and conflict education in our country's colleges and universities.Colleges and universities should actively assume the identity of conflict education organizers, build a "active and peaceful"campus environment for students, incorporate conflict education into the existing mental health education system, and provide students with consultation and guidance.Take multiple measures to improve the level of students' viewpoint selection and optimize conflict resolution strategies:integrate viewpoint selection into the curriculum and conduct interventional training;carry out academic dispute activities to enhance students' collision of views;create opportunities for interaction and cooperation to exercise students' conflict resolution skills;Cultivate students'empathy and caring ability and enhance the trust between peers.
