Spatiotemporal Data Service System Design And Implementation For The Socioeconomic Statistics

It is critical issue to integrate and develop socio-economic statistical data in the present stage of statistical information industries. Generally, socio-economic statistics have several characteristics such as a large number of statistical indicators, and general spatial location attributes for statistics . Taking the socio-economic statistics in Henan Province as an example , this paper integrates statistical information resources as statistics space in the core modules, analyzes and designs the system of Spatio-temporal data services . This paper also attempts to provide an effective Spatio-temporal inform- ation integration framework for statistical and data management applications .Based on the review of socio-economic statistics of GIS , spatial data services , metadata management , this paper designs the system of socio-economic statistical Spatio-temporal data services, using a method that combines software project management and engineering , and presents the solution of socio-economic statistical Spatio-temporal data services management system. Technical procedures of this research are:â‘ analysis of socio-economic statistics spatio-temporal data system ;â‘¡system design;â‘¢design of the System database;â‘£development of system. Based socio-economic data of Henan Province(2000-2004) as an example. Using ESRI ArcGIS9, Oracle9i and ArcSDE9. The paper developed statistical Spatio-temporal database and statistical meta-database, put the socio-economic statistical data into a database, successfully developed the socio-economic statistical data services system supporting of B/S.It is concluded from the development and application of the socio-economic statistical data services system:â‘ This solution of statistical data services system is suitable for all statistical departments of information technology management, in particular it satisfies the government's demand for information technology.â‘¡Using the socio-economic statistics spatio-temporal data model and building socio-economic statistical spatio-temporal database on Geodatabase, it can effectively manage the socio-economic statistical information.â‘¢Designing the meta-database, it can achieve socio-economic statistical data query through the metadata mechanisms, it is useful for the integration of statistical resources.â‘£Using WebGIS technology and achieving spatial analysis of statistical data, it is convenient for the government to manage and provide the necessary social services.This paper is composed of seven parts.
