As the measure of education, Education Evaluation is developing with the creation of education. With the new curriculum reform of foundation education, the people pay more and more attention to the Education Evaluation. And it is tendency to attach importance to the Formative Evaluation in the modern Education Evaluation.The Teaching Evaluation is an important aspect in the Education Evaluation and it is the main part and foundation to constitute the Education Evaluation. According to the educational policy, certain teaching target and the teaching normal standards the Teaching Evaluation makes use of all the probable evaluation technique to judge the degree to carry out the teaching result and the teaching target etc. so as to improve the teaching work. The Teaching Evaluation is necessary in the teaching activity and constitutes the main part of it. The student's evaluation is an important aspect in the Teaching Evaluation. The teacher's evaluation has the prominent function to the students.According to the different purpose of the evaluation, the Education Evaluation can be divided into Summarization Evaluation and Formative Evaluations. In former teaching, we adopt the Summarization Evaluation to evaluate achieves to the student. The Summarization Evaluation valuing only midterm, the end-term, the entrance examination etc., neglecting the students to express their emotion, attitude, the study strategy, the cooperation spirit etc., all of which are namely the Formative Evaluation.The Formative Evaluation emphasizes the student's evaluation in the usually various kinds t of teaching activity. It includes their language knowledge, the exertion of the language knowledge, the development degree of the technical ability of their language knowledge, the learning emotion factor, the exertion of the learning strategy and the level in associating with other people etc.. The teacher can observe the student's development appearance and make with the evaluation about them. By the evaluation of the teacher's the teacher can know well the result of the stage teaching, profess of the student's study and the existence problem etc. in time. The Summarization Evaluation values only the selecting function in study neglecting the student's growing and the development and values only the examination of the foundation knowledge and basic technical abilities neglecting the examination of their emotion and the basic diathesis. And in test the Summarization Evaluation evolutes only the function of the objectivity neglecting the function of the subjective test. And it values only the objectivity and the unique of the answer neglecting the student's subjective creation and the open answer.Thinking about the existent shortage to student's evaluation in the past teaching and according to the Ministry of Education of"The National Course Standard", we put forward we must value both of the Formative Evaluation and the Summarization Evaluation. The Formative Evaluation has the important leading meaning to the teaching practice. It can promote exaltation of the result of the Summarization Evaluation, can stir up the student's interest in study, can help the student to form the good habit of their study and can make the students get the certain study strategy, can have the profound meaning and influences to pursue studies of the student's and the life long study. The Formative Evaluation is a evaluation about the process and it run through all the learning process. Its purpose is to make both of the teacher and the student supervise, control, think of and adjust the whole process of the teaching so as to make it keep a good and certain development speeds in the certain direction. So the Formative Evaluation is more actual meaning than the Summarization Evaluation in exalting teaching quantity.This article firstly introduces the concept, the type and the function of Formative Evaluation of Educational Evaluation. Then it expatiates the concrete application of Formative Evaluation in the teaching by concrete instances.
