New century, information-based in the knowledge-based economy with the impact of globalization under, stage course reform in the senior high school is unprecedentedly valued.The common senior high school is a compulsory education behind the school education turns deeply with development, being raising the student's foundation scholastic ability, the development citizen character and sound personality contain important function.Nowadays we have to make a plan on our teaching schedule, as the number of students in senior high school is larger because the popularization of the 9-year compulsory education developed further and more students are enrolled in high school. The plan is how to educate and cultivate the young to be qualified students of talent for our country. Then we have to think about the questions, which concern with the reason why they have to go to high school, with what they have to learn and how to learn. Thus the first thing we must do is to make a program for the students according to their characteristics in this period.The function is a main line of senior high school mathematics, piercing through a high school mathematics of always, it is to learn a good senior high school the foundation of mathematics, the function thought is the important thought which resolves mathematics problem, its application spreads over the whole senior high school mathematics, learning very high etc. the essential knowledge of mathematics further, therefore, the function knowledge is a senior high school mathematic of the point and the crux.People's Education Press published the new experimental mathematics textbook (version B), new textbook in the following, for ordinary high school on course criterion. Compared with the full-time mathematics textbook (book one), old textbook in the following, for ordinary high school, also published by People's Education Press , the new textbook changed a lot both in the structure and the content. Problems about differences between the two textbooks have come since some provinces chose the new textbook for the students. Consulting the background and the meaning of the course reform, this paper is to answer the question above and have a research on the new textbooks by comparing the changes between the Criterion in the chapter about function and the General Outline, comparing the complex difficulties of exercises, etc.
