Human society is a variegated world where both sexes coexist, and sex equality has been an important subject of common interest to the international society. The formation of self- sex consciousness is the product of social culture and the result of cultural enculturation. High school education displays an important catalytic effect in the conversion process from"natural person"to"social person"of individuals. Textbook, which the students use as the main medium in their study, gives a concentrated reflection of the understanding from the main-stream culture of socialization of sex and sex role. The sex prejudice contained in the teaching materials reproduces and strengthened the social sex prejudice, affected the students'identification and belonging of the respective sex role in particular, and caused the social rationalization and legalization of the sex prejudice. Therefore, the research of sex image, sex consciousness and sex idea in the teaching materials is a significant practical step to grasp the sex role socialization of the minor and engage in the education of sex equality.With the textbook of the curriculum standard version as an example, embarking from the textbook basic attribute and the specific connotation, and based on scored achievements in sex research at home and abroad, the thesis is trying to make a basis such frontier theories as feminist literary criticism, feminist education thought, sex role and cultural research theories, so as to analyze a series of female images portrayed in the Chinese textbook of the high school and their influences to the construction and reproduction of the students'sex consciousness, sex identification and sex social. The full text divides into seven parts:The first part is the foreword which is to raise the question and elaborate the research method and mentality. With the method of text reading, the thesis makes a deep-going interpretation of the female images included in the required course textbooks and out of the male writers from the feminist literary criticism perspective, analyzes the narrative way of their stories, inquires into the sex consciousness contained in the feminine images, and questions the validity of the textbook as"the legal knowledge"in the inheritance of outstanding human culture; while Foucault's theory of knowledge and power is used to analyze the in-depth connotation of the image of the female"others"constructed by the manly power discourse in the Chinese textbooks.The second part analyzes the textbook'attribute, and reveals the textbook is not only the carrier of knowledge and also the text expression of the social culture and class will. In the education field, national or society's mainstream values are embodied through the textbook as the material carrier, and achieves the aim of social control by controlling the value orientation in the textbooks.Therefore the textbooks have multiple attributes: The textbooks are an important carrier for the students'socialization; the textbooks are an effective tool to carry out the curriculum; the textbooks are the discourse to constitute power.The third part is a summary which summarize the existing achievements and problems in sex researches in domestic and foreign textbooks, so as to make a further research.The fourth part elaborates the main basis of the researches in this paper: the feminine literary criticism, the thought of feminine education, the theories of social sex and cultural research, and selects its essence part to launch the elaboration upholstery solid foundation for the present paper, provides the most sharp weapon for the analysis middle school language textbook.The fifth part uses the theories above, specifically analyzes the female image of the textbook of the curriculum standard version, sum up the lineage of a series of female image: sorrow females– the object for males to ponder social problems; mute females-the deserted female image in the manly power-governed society; dwarfed females--the elegy of the male power discourse; fantasized females-the imagination from the males'pursuit of a pure and pretty female.But behind all the female images exists a supposition of the female sex value: Spiritless, unrevolted, and non-demanded the"superhuman"consciousness as well as beautiful otherworldly deified consciousness.The sixth part makes a deep-going analysis of the construction function of social sex of the female images in the Chinese textbooks of high school. This chapter believes that, the Chinese textbooks are a presentation way of the social sex idea as the power discourse--the textbook has a coexisting function "to open wide" and "the camouflage"; The textbook forms the mechanical impression of the social sex; The textbook carries out a border-rization process of the females through the agenda establishment. But speaking from a more widespread significance, there exists a deep genetic relationship between social sex and education: The textbook is the powerful tool which sex consciousness reproduces and transforms. Sex consciousness contained in the textbook would be changed interiorly into the"collective unconsciousness"of the students in education, meanwhile, the textbook as an important cultural capital reproduces the social sex inequality.The seventh part is a conclusion. Through the analysis of the Chinese textbooks, the author thinks the females in the male perspective are mainly sorrow, mute, dwarfed and fantasized. Females have only acted as the prop for males to complaint of the society, and moves towards an unreal world in the context of satisfying male desires, and their subject consciousness has disappeared in the myth constructed by the males. The Chinese textbook, as a power discourse, makes a border-rization of the females through the agenda establishment, shapes the sex mechanical impression changed interiorly into student's collective unconsciousness, and as an important cultural capital reproduces the social sex inequality. Thus, how to construct the sex equality consciousness would be a question which the Chinese textbook cannot avoid. Based on this, three wishes about the compilation of the future Chinese textbooks are extended: The textbooks should follow the times close, fully display the new female image; Keep a relative balance of the sex role proportion; Regard the new female image with the right outlook on sex value.
