The textbook is a teaching book that reflects the national ideology and is compiled according to the curriculum standards and teaching requirements.It is the object of teacher education and student learning.It highlights the mainstream values of contemporary society.Moreover,the primary school stage is the foundation stage of life and has an extremely important influence on the students' world outlook,outlook on life and values.Rural teaching resources are relatively scarce,and teachers and students rely more on textbooks.So the writing of textbooks is extremely important.This paper is devoted to the analysis of the rural adaptability of primary school Chinese textbooks.This study relies on literature,text analysis,and interviews.The first is to analyze the urban and rural differences in the five textbooks edited by the Ministry.From the illustrations,the content of the texts and the after-school exercises,the data statistics and text analysis are carried out.It is found that there are urban biases in the current textbooks for primary school textbooks.This kind of urban bias is not only manifested in quantity but also in a certain value orientation.Through the interviews with rural school principals,teachers and students,the rural adaptability of primary school Chinese textbooks was investigated.It is believed that the rural textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education have low adaptability in rural areas.Secondly,from the perspective of cultural capital,the rural adaptability of primary school Chinese textbooks is attributed.First,there are obvious urban biases in Chinese textbooks;second,rural family cultural capital is at a disadvantage(the rural households have less investment in their children's education,rural families have lower expectations for their children's education,and the family lacks a good cultural and educational atmosphere);The lack of cultural capital has affected the adaptability of textbooks in rural areas.Finally,several suggestions are made to improve the rural adaptability of primary school Chinese textbooks.In the preparation of textbooks,one must listen to the voice of rural teachers,include more rural teachers in the writing team of textbooks,and second,the preparation of textbooks should take into account urban and rural content and enrich the rural culture in textbooks.In terms of rural families,the first is to increase investment in children's education and improve children's early education.Second,it is necessary to participate in rich cultural activities to enrich the family culture atmosphere.The third is to improve the cultural quality of rural parents and transform their family education methods..In terms of rural teachers,the first is to change the teaching methods and strengthen the professional development of teachers.The second is to strengthen teacher training and familiarize with rural local culture.Third,rural areas better absorb professional talents and optimize the structure of rural teachers.
