Teacher-Student interaction, a specialized research field in the western sociology of education, roused in 1970s and developed rapidly. This is mainly because the western countries failed to implement the policy that aimed at endowing people with equal education opportunity after WWâ…¡. Since then, People shifted their concern from the equality in form to the equality in essence, from school regulations to teaching-learning activities. According, people focused their attention on teacher-student interaction. Based on abundant researching work on interactions between children and parents, and communications among children, researchers in our nation increasingly attach great importance to the significance of teacher-student interaction in children's growth and education from the late 1980s. thus teacher-student interaction increasingly became a significant subject for researchers. Curriculum Reform of Elementary Education Course issued by the Ministry of Education in 2001 clearly stated, "Teachers should interact with students actively in teaching, and develop with them jointly."We may find most teachers in primary and secondary school do interact with students in classes, and apparently their class atmosphere seems quite dynamic. However, it's still a question whether all these interactions are effective, whether there exist false and ineffective interactions. With such doubts, I, by the researching methods of documentation, questionnaire and class observation, made a study of the present teacher-student interaction level in our country. And in my study I found lots of problems, facing which I attempt to put forward some teaching strategies to improve teacher-student interaction on the basis of the research fruit available on the aspect. The paper falls into three parts: introduction, main body that is further divided into three sections, and conclusion.Introduction: It illustrates the importance of putting forward such a thesis and the significance of researching it. Then it introduces the theories on which the paper is grounded, the research thinking and methods. The first section of the main body: It reviewed the history of teacher-student interaction and clarifies its concept. As a theoretical skeleton of my research, starting with the data home and abroad and the researching fruit available, I achieved a relatively comprehensive concept of teacher-student interaction and other concepts concerned. The last part of this section is a concise summary of the nature of teacher-student interaction,The second section: It's about the present situation of our teacher-student interaction in primary and secondary school classes. I carried out a survey with the methods of questionnaire and class observation in some key and ordinary schools in the city of TianJin and ShanXi province, which shows us that certain progress has been made in teacher-student interaction, but problems still exist, such as urgency for short-sighted benefit, irregular and formalistic operation. The third section: It expounds how to develop teacher-student interaction in our primary and secondary school to a higher level, which is the emphasis of the paper. On the basis of my survey and the teaching theories available, I drawled teaching strategies for bettering our teacher-student interaction from three points of teaching conception, teaching strategies and teaching evaluation. And more importantly, according to a three-dimension clarification of teacher-student by some scholars, namely, cognitive interaction, emotional interaction and personality interaction, I come up with several teaching strategies to upgrade the level of our teacher-student interaction. The last part: It is about expectation of the further development of teacher-student interaction.
