Objective: To learn the incidence of injuries in middle school students of Hunan Province and explore its impact factors. Methods: Randomly Stratified sampling and cluster sampling were used to obtain the sample in Hunan Province, and the students of 96 classes in 16 middle schools and their parents were selected to participate in this investigation. The recognized criteria for injuries designed by Wang Shengyong, self-rating depression scale, self-rating anxiety scale , interpersonal sensitivity of symptom checklist 90, family assessment device, the parenting locus of control scale. and self-developed factor questionnaire were used together to collect the data. The logistic regression was employed to analyze the data. Results: The incidence of injuries of middle school students in Hunan Province is 48.74%, its 95% of C.I. is (47.43%, 50.05%). The comparisons of injuries incidence between males and females, single child and non-single child, and among different regions and grades, showed significant difference, P<0.05. Using logistic regression, region, grade, gender, single child or not, hating staying at school, suppression, anxiety, and with peers who often hunt the recreational places affect the happening of injuries, their ORs are respectively 1.13, 0.94, 0.72, 0.84, 1.14, 1.47,1.16and 2.20.Conclusion: The incidence of injuries of middle school students in Hunan Province is 48.74%. The impact factors for injuries in middle school students are region, grade, gender, single child or not, hating staying at school, suppression, anxiety, with peers who often hunt the recreational places.
