The research on reading program places an emphasis on the readingprogram research of the elementary and secondary school students.Therefore, the improvement in students' reading ability also emphasizeson improving the reading ability of elementary and secondary schoolstudents. However, we for reading program of secondary vocationalschool, especially the improvement in reading ability of presentsecondary vocational students, have not paid enough attentions for a longtime. This thesis directly takes the improvement in reading ability ofsecondary vocational students as the object of study.This thesis is consisted of three parts: The first part mainly analyzesthe barrier to the improvement in reading ability of secondary vocationalstudents, which includes the following four ways, that is the presentsituation of the student language study, student's reading accomplishment,the present situation of reading program and curriculum arrangement ofChinese in secondary vocational schools.The second part is composed of two parts: One is brieflyelaborating the reading concept, the composition and the period ofdevelopment of reading ability. The other is emphatically explaining theneed and value of the improvement in reading level of vocational schoolstudents.The last part is the key part of this thesis, which elaborates theteaching ways of improving in reading ability of secondary vocationalstudents. It is discussed from the following aspects: Firstly, stimulatingthe interests of reading can provide the motivation for improvingsecondary vocational students' reading ability. Secondly, strengtheningskill training can give a guarantee for improving the reading ability ofsecondary vocational students. Thirdly, exercising imagination abilityoffers the support for improving the reading ability of secondary Vocational Students. Fourthly, developing the ability to understand laythe foundation on improving reading ability of secondary vocationalstudents. (5) Taking extracurricular reading can give the way toimproving reading ability of vocational school students.
