The aesthetic education is quite necessary in the curriculum reform.Whichever subject, the teaching object, teaching content, teaching formand method and the layout of the teaching material should seek for theaesthetics which can form students' aesthetic view and inspire theirwisdom, attract students to get involved and want to learn, give studentsthe enjoyment of beauty. However, for a long time, the physical educationhas moved far away from the 'instrumental' path at the dispel of the eagerfor quick success as 'habitus education', 'physical technical education','exam-oriented education'. The physical education calls for the aestheticeducation.This article presents a "constructing the appreciative PE mode ofuniversities" by analyzing the traditional PE teaching mode, based onreferring a large number of thesises and treatises. The idea of appreciativeteaching mode is also a teaching strategy, focusing on thinking,understanding and explaining the PE teaching problems with anappreciative way and carrying out the PE teaching practice inappreciative means. The essay proposes a 'creating the situation-in thesituation-experience-feel and understand' four-stage mode operatingprocedure from researching the hypothesis, the identifying of the concept,the meaning and principle of implementing, the analyzing of feasibilityand the discussing of the theory with the base of Marx's human's all-around development theory, quality education theory, PE aesthetictheory, human's aesthetic need theory. It focuses on the experience ofbody and heart, sets to form students' PE interest, civil attainment,aesthetic sentiment, creativity and practical ability on inheriting the traditional PE teaching mode. Thus students can realize the essence of PE,get the spiritual joviality, promote the sports techniques and make aharmonious development on body and mental health. The essay alsodiscusses teacher's art accomplishment, the beauty of teacher-studentrelationship, the form of teaching organization, the teaching assessment,aiming at offering a specific and feasible suggestion on the school PEreform and development.
