As the human being come into the information era, the geometry makes more and more contributions to the society. There is no doubt that it will play a more important role in the development of fundamental education's mathematic curriculum. Looking back to the development of mathematic education all over the world, we can see that geometry curriculum in junior high school was the focal problem in every fundamental education's mathematic curriculum reform, and it even represented the success of the reform. In July 2001, our country's ministry of education promulgated the Mathematics Curriculum Standardization of all-day Compulsory Education (trial draft) which took a great reform to the geometry curriculum in junior high school according to the character of the students'physiology and psychology. So, in order to advance the development of the mathematic education reform, the author think that it is essential to deeply survey and study the setup of the geometry curriculum and the organization of the geometry textbook, and search the better way of the reform.Through the critical review of the literature, the first part of this study made comments on the background of our country's new curriculum reform, and analyzed the history and the actuality of our country's geometry curriculum reform. This part also analyzed the new curriculum standard's content about the"Space and Shape"in detail. In chapter four, this study selected three representative mathematic textbook of the new curriculum standard (from grade 7 to 9):RenJiao version, BeiShiDa version, XiangJiao version. The comparison was made on the"Space and Shape"between these three textbook. This part of the study also compared this content of these three textbook to the old geometry textbook, the Russia's Direct-Viewing Geometry textbook, and the American UCSMP Geometry textbook. According to these comparisons and analyses, chapter five of this study gave some significant suggestions to the modification of mathematic textbook of the new curriculum standard, and the reform of our country's geometry curriculum in junior high school.
