Talented person is the most significant element in the 21st century. Onlyif quantities of qualified talented persons are trained can the need of socialismconstruction be satisfied. As the place to foster talented persons, universityshoulders the inescapable responsibility. Meanwhile, acting as the criticalstage before college students stepping into the society, university is importantnot only in shaping their philosophy view on life and value but also instarting their occupation life. And this phase is regarded more important to thestudents in our country because they are lack of profession training duringtheir previous education. But influenced by the long-term planed economicsystem, the career training in university is not carried out efficiently orregularly.Based on the theoretical research on career planning at home and aboardand the deliberate analysis of several college graduates'cases on theiremployment and career life in our country, I carried on an investigation aboutcareer training and employment among the students in China University ofPetroleum (East China). By analyzing the results, I tried to find the problemsexisting in the process of career planning in our country. To solve theseproblems, I studied the education system and the characteristic of collegestudents'career life in our country. Finally, I put up with some usefulsolutions for both college students and universities put forward someviewpoints to home education and system of our country higher education. Ihope, by means of this research, it will solve the problem which students can't find the employer while companies can't find the employee. I hope, in theend, the students will find themselves ideal occupation, and that at the sametime the enterprises will spend less on servant cost to truly realize the goal to"make each person develop his talents freely".
