In the elementary education stage, mathematics is a main curriculum. The goal of teaching mathematics is not merely to provide mathematics knowledge, but to train students'way of thinking, to foster their fine mathematics quality, and to develop their ability to analyze and solve questions. In teaching practice, the RMI principle (relational mapping inversion principle) can not only stimulate students'creativity, but also raise their independent thinking, and develop their mentality. It is therefore the best tool to reflect the application function of mathematics.In most of the existing mathematics textbooks each chapter is independent, lacking in continuity. This is disadvantageous to the understanding and formation of mathematics thinking method. This article, starting from the RMI principle and the present teaching material, , develops a series of thinking methods subordinate to the RMI principle , which tries to enable students to grasp the formation process of these thinking methods , and to understand the inner link. Thus, it becomes possible for each chapter to form an orgnism and students understand mathematics thoughts on a higher altitude.In modern mathematics teaching, it becomes an crucial project to raise the students'RMI principle utilization consciousness to stimulate their mathematics thinking motive and to develop their thinking ability. This article first reviews the success and failure in mathematics education, and then through the author's own teaching practice talks about how to use RMI principle in high school mathematics teaching. This article includes the following six chapters:The first part: Introduction. This chapter summarizes the research background, and elaborates the basic concept and connotation of RMI, lists some relevant research results and the major points, and carries out the problem this article tries to handle.The second part: Investigation and study on high school mathematics RMI principle utilization . Through interview with teachers and written investigation results, conclusion is reached on the present situation of RMI principle application to high school mathematics education. The article also points out importance of the RMI principle.The third part: This chapter primarily covers the study and examples of RMI principle in application. Also discussed is how to combine RMI principle to the number shape union law, the parameter law, the mathematical induction and so on.The fourth part: This part is about the further application of RMI principle in high school mathematics curriculum, particularly to in the relevant chapters on the functional equation inequality, the index logarithm, the plural number, the analytic geometry, as well as trigonometry. This chapter enumerates some typical sample questions to provide certain reference to teachers on how to utilize this thinking method.The fifth part: This part is a study on RMI principle and teaching practice. Though a comparatitive analysis on current class samples, it finds the function of RMI principle in high school mathematics practices.The sixth part: As a conclusion based on the above study and analysis, this part points out that RMI theoryused in the teaching practiceof high school mathematics may raise students'study interest, better develop their independent thinking and positive innovative thinking, and cause them to form a fine thing quality. It also briefly analyzes the reasons why RMI principle has not obtained enough importance. Finally, the article raises several suggestive points on how to strengthen RMI in mathematics teaching method.
