There is a close relationship between instruction and examination. Harmonious instruction-examination is a prerequisite that assures school education system proceeding normally. Instruction and examination should run normally and that is a precondition for harmonious instruction-examination system. This thesis eyes on college exam system and try to improve it.Examination is a kind of environment and it has three main elements. They are hominine element, objective element and info element respectively. Among the whole education system, instruction is the core. Examination is a part of instruction and it must work for instruction. Harmonious instruction-examination is a prerequisite and necessary approach. Also it is an effective approach to rectify the cognition. Examination is a dependent system and it has great influence on instruction. First, exam prompts teachers and students'progress and instruction aims. Second, exam is an approach for schools, teachers and educational administration to get feedback. Third, exam is a significant measure that assesses whether students'school work accords with instruction requests. Therefore, examination is an important element that associates with harmonious instruction-examination.There have many problems in college schools in our country now. This thesis does an investigation according to these problems through a questionnaire, then analyses the reasons. Based on theory analyzing using foreign experiences for reference, the article also brings some strategies to deal with the relation between instruction and exam and to improve college exam system. The strategies include several points. For example, renewed exam viewpoint, apply exam according to different methods, enrich exam content, standardize exam administration, and improve teachers'quality.
