The reform brings about not only new developmental opportunities but also various degrees of challenges. The aims of the research are as follows: (1)to find out the situation and the development tendency of teachers'job stress , job satisfaction and organizational commitment;(2) to study the influences of demographic variables on job stress ,job satisfaction and organizational commitment. (3) to show the relationship among job stress, job satisfaction and organization commitment. In order to meet the aims above, the research constructs questionnaires on college teachers'job stress, job satisfaction and organization commitment based on interview and literature investigation. 329 college teachers are interviewed to collect the data, which are analyzed with SPSS 11.5. The statistics methods include T-test, F-test, factor analysis and regression analysis. The results of the research indicate:1. The total job stress level of college teachers belongs to medium on the low side, the levels of total job satisfaction and organizational commitment are both ordinary.2. From the perspective of increasing age, the job stress of college teachers at the middle age is higher than others. The job satisfaction and organizational commitment at the middle age is lower than others.3. Gender exerts no striking influence on job stress , but has significantly influenced one or more dimensions of job satisfaction and organization commitment.4. Marital status has significantly influenced one or more dimensions of job stress, job satisfaction and organization commitment.5. Different education level has significantly influenced one or more dimensions of college teachers'job stress, job satisfaction and organization commitment.6. The title of technical post has significantly influenced one or more dimensions of college teachers'job stress, job satisfaction and organization commitment.7. Different majors has significantly influenced one or more dimensions of college teachers'job stress, job satisfaction and organization commitment.8. College teachers'job stress is negatively related to job satisfaction. The subscales'scores of job stress is negatively related to the subscales'scores of job satisfaction. Organization commitment is positively related to job satisfaction. There is no significant relationship between job stress and organization commitment.
