Job stress and organizational commitment are the two important organizational behavior factors impacting university faculty's job behavior .The domestic scholars seldom focus on the relationship between job stress and organizational commitment. In other words,they usually study job stress or organizational commitment. Thus,this dissertation focuses on the relationship between job stress and organizational commitment in order to open out the three factors'relationship·By selecting some representative university—faculty—members as investigation sample,we collect the data of the two variables mentioned above by questionnaire. Then,we can make the following conclusions by statistically analyzing 300 effective questionnaires:(1)Job Stress,and organizational commitment of university faculty are above the middling level.(2)Some Personnel—concerned items,esp. educational experience,Position in the organization and job experience,affect the organizational members job stress and organizational commitment significantly.(3)The worse job stress is,the lower organizational commitment would be. Particularly,organizational function stress is significantly negative correlated with organizational commitment. Development stress is significantly negative correlated with organizational commitment. Social support stress is significantly negative correlated with organizational commitment. But when job satisfaction is controlled, it is not significant between job stress and organizational commitment.
