Teacher-student interaction is the basic process of English classroom teaching in secondary school. Teacher-student interaction in English classroom is the process that teacher and students are applying English in the situation of class. Pragmatics is the study of application of human language. Exploring the law of teacher-student interaction in English classroom of secondary school under the theories of Pragmatics is of great importance to guide the English classroom teaching and raise English teaching efficiency in secondary school.The paper is composed of four parts. In the first part, relevant concepts are defined, the research on teacher-student interaction in classroom at home and abroad is summarized and the progress of Pragmatics theories is reviewed.In the second part, the cooperative principle theory and relevance theory as a guide on teacher-student interaction in English classroom is expounded.In the third part, survey results of current situation of teacher-student interaction in English classroom of secondary school is given, which indicates four existing serious problems:①serious monopoly;②insufficiently deepening;③prominent formalization;④obvious mainstay inequality.In the fourth part, Strategies of teacher-student interaction in English classroom of secondary school are put forward from eight aspects:①make the purpose of teacher-student interaction in English classroom clear;②improve the quality of teacher-student interaction in English classroom;③adjust the density and frequency of teacher-student interaction in English classroom;④apply the appropriate language in teacher-student interaction in English classroom;⑤make teacher-student interaction diversification and multiple levels;⑥set up loose and harmonious Circumstance of teacher-student interaction;⑦pay attention to the best context effect in teacher-student interaction in English classroom;⑧complete the information processing work of teacher-student interaction in English classroom.
