The nature of athletics competition is the competition of talent reserve. Fushun City has a strong massive foundation of basketball sports in history. But there are some new problems in developing basketball sports .The most serious problem is to cultivate the talent reserve. It is very meaningful for continuous development of basketball sports in my city to pay more attention to the study of cultivating basketball sports talent reserve. On the basis of analyzing the status of cultivating basketball talent reserve in Fushun City, I draw the following conclusions.1.The items below are the status of cultivating basketball talent reserve in Fushun City. There are double systems of cultivating basketball talent reserve in Fushun City. Adolescent athletes have low technical level especially in female athletes. There are different motivations between sports school training and middle school athlete training. The athlete in sports school is active in training. The time that the athletes spend in training is in accordance with basketball training rule. But middle school athletes have limited training time and can't insure the training systematically. During the training the main problems are low physical stuff, poor training foundation and limited training times. Lacking enough education is the most serious problem in study technique. Not always joining the match affects the level of adolescent athletes. The basketball sports coaches in Fushun City have reasonable age structure and high education degree but they have low technical post and lack sport experience. The level of schematizing in Coach cultivating is relatively low and the middle school coach specialization level is also low. There are double systems in managing system: one is educational system; the other is sports system. There is difference in the management goal in middle school and sports school. The goal of the sports school inclines to cultivate high-level athlete and the middle school's goal is to send the athlete to the university high level sports team and sports institute. Every unit pays more attention to the result of match on assessing the coaches. Sports school adopts"3 concentrate management". Middle school always adopts concentrated management on athletes. The gym can satisfy the need of training. But there are limited fund resource and short of fund in every training unit. Minus fund, lacking scientific, systematic training and limited talent is the major problems in cultivating basketball talent reserve.2.Increasing the investment, pluralistic fund structure, focusing the combination of sports and education, improve the stuff of athlete fully, strengthen the construction of coach team cultivating the athlete systematically and regularly, reforming and improving the rule of completion, building scientific and reasonable cultivating and training and completing basketball talent reserve system are resentful measures to develop cultivating basketball talent reserve in my cityprovince...
