An Investigation Of The Practice Of Blog As The Platform Of Knowledge Management For Undergraduate

With the increase of successful cases of knowledge management in enterprise organizations, education is beginning to pay attention to the introduction of the concepts and means of knowledge management to enhance the quality of students, teaching effectiveness, school's competitiveness. There're many tools of knowledge management, and blog has the advantages of simple technology and perfect functions. But it is to be verified whether blog can work out knowledge management smoothly in education organizations and how they can be carried out better.This research selects the student of electronics and information engineering department of Huazhong University of Science & Technology as the case, I established a blog as the platform of knowledge management, to invite lecturing teachers, instructors and more students of higher grade to participate in the management, and through mail, QQ, telephone, interviews, and other means of communication and telecommunications systems to communicate with students, to make my blog known to the students and perfect it according to the feedback from students. During the four months of blog, I made clear and timely records of the browsing frequency, members, articles published, visitors message, students'mail, in the end, through quantitative and qualitative methods of combining the students to investigate the use, attitudes and recommendations of blog. Through the analysis of data, I found that: (1) Students know little of knowledge management, but their view of exchanging and sharing knowledge is positive. (2) The teaching resources, and employment section of the knowledge are needed most, but the living conditions of students affecting their feel of blog. (3) Blog has no clear impact in the performance, student section and employment of student. (4) Teachers, counselors, students from higher grade who feel that the blog useful to students didn't manage blog for a long time.According to the implementation of blog, this paper proposed some related insights:(1) The CKO must be good at knowledge management to make it known and used.(2)Establish the motivation mechanism of knowledge management to get longer support.(3)Create the cultural atmosphere of exchanging and sharing knowledge. (4)Gain the support of the government of school.
