The Analysis And Thought On Cognition And Behavior Over Faithfulness Of University Students

Faithfulness is one of Chinese traditional virtues, and one of the basic social ethics. With the development of socialist market economy, it is becoming increasingly an important social concept and the basic guideline that people must obey when they take up social and economic activities.As a special group, the university students will play a crucial part in future national construction, and their professional knowledge and state of moral will directly determine our country's modernization, even the future of our nation.Firstly, the paper mentions the basic concept faithfulness and concludes its basic intension. And then it expounds the importance of faithfulness to the development of university students and many manifestations of the university students in our country being lack of faithfulness now.Secondly, through investigating 912 university students of college of science school of economics and management,college of mechanical electrical engineering in Harbin Engineering University on their faithfulness cognition and behavior condition, it reflects that they have deviation about it to a certain extent. And then the paper analyzes according to the investigation situation. The reasons includes: the influence of social circumstance; problems in school education; impact of employment pressure; comformity psychology of university students; the serious phenomenon of utilitariay and ignore the importance of virtue.The last part tries to find two effective countermeasures to the behavior and try to build a system on the status of university student integrity. The author appeals to establishment of criterions on the integrity and optimizing institutional environment to strengthen the education on integrity of university student in school and family. On the other hand, the author also calls on the students to do more soul-searching and to be free play in integrity.
