"The Mathmatics Curriculum Standard of Senior Middle School" proclaimed in April 2003 by the Ministry of Education of China indicated;"The ultimate goal of mathematics education is to enhance the indispensable math quality of the future citizen------the students on the basis of the 9 years compulsary education.Tiffs enables the students to accomplish individual development and promote social progress"In order to adapt to the requirment of the curriculum revolution,the Textbook of Senior Middle School Version A from People's Education Press sets colums as "Observe and Guess","Read and Think","Explore and Discover", "Ultarization of Infomative Technology".These colums offer aboundant optional material which is thoughtful,practical and challenging,reflect the essence of math education,as well as enrich the content and expand the math area for students.As a consequence of that,it is the new subject of educators to probe into "Reading Material" and search out the way to exert the utmost learning and teaching function.Through the practice,this essay results in that the essence of these material is to explore the teaching function of this book,by the research the teaching methodology of "Reading Material" from the Textbook of Senior Middle School Version A by People's Education Press.The essay is divided into seven sections; Prolude is the first section.It leads out the project by illustrate the condition of ultilization of the 01version and the study of current domestic situation.The second part is the orientation of math curriculum of Senior Middle School.The third section is the summary of "Reading Material".The describtion of function is in the fouth section.The fifth section is the analysis of factors that influences the usage of "Reading Material" and the countermeasures.In the sixth section "Reading Material." explore the teaching strategy.Finally,the last section is the conclusion."Reading Material" interests students more in math,expand their horizon,promote their ability of math reading and stimulate the renovation of them.Meanwhile the study is difficult in certain level and there are still some problems to be solved.Due to the limited experience,this essay may not be a perfection.Therefore the correction is welcomed.Improvement will be persued ceaselessly in my teaching.
