The coming of information society as the twenty-first century, information technology have common application and development in industries. Both home and abroad, have used this new technology to auxiliary function teaching of mathematics classroom teaching, expecting to improve teaching effect. The function teaching, how to rational use of information technology, how to give full play to the class in the role of the media and whether the media really adapted to the classroom is we have to ponder question.This paper first through three aspects of the study. The study of function teaching in middle school both home and abroad. All kinds of multimedia courseware in function teaching application and Flash animation of development and application. To understand Flash animation in the middle school function teaching research results and its shortcomings. Second, through the constructivism learning theory, information technology and curriculum integration of the basic theory research, theoretically, the further deepening understand the effectiveness of Flash animation used in function teaching. Again, through comparing various teaching software, such as:sketchpad, Powerpoint, etc, this paper discusses the Flash animation used in function teaching of superiority and the teaching effect, and according to the Flash animation in the teaching application discusses the relationship with Flash animation and traditional media and looking for the best teaching mode with the modern media and traditional media. Finally, through the function teaching design analysis, and combining the function and the methods of research study practice, used the Flash animation in function teaching, so as to the smooth implementation of the new curriculum reform for the effective method, also for cultivating students’ development in an all-round way contribute strength.Through the research in this paper is the conclusion:teachers in mathematics function teaching, the reasonable application Flash animation, the teaching effect more than this teaching effect that the traditional meaning of the teaching or just the application of the static teaching software teaching. To strengthen students’ interest in study and stimulate the students’ learning motivation and training students’ ability to innovate and in a certain extent, to student’s aesthetic emotion,have a lot of help.
