Teachers' job burnout has become a common phenomenon, and the phenomenon of middle school music teachers' job burnout should be paid more attention to.Music is an indispensable and important way to cultivate students' quality education among all subjects in school education.Over the recent years, students' quality education has been paid more and more attention, and society and schools have paid more and more attention to the development of students' comprehensive quality. The teaching ability of middle school music teachers is facing great challenges. As a result, the increasingly prominent work pressure and the neglect of emotional management have led to an increasing number of music teachers' psychological and physiological maladjustment symptoms, which are easy to form job burnout under long-term pressure.Middle school music teachers' job burnout may be a common occupational disease and social phenomenon, and its continuous occurrence will affect teachers' physical and mental health and teaching ability, and then affect personal job performance and teaching results. Therefore, this study analyzes the relationship among job stress, emotional management, and job burnout of some middle school music teachers in Shanghai, and provides the psychological basis for improving the mental health level of middle school music teachers.344 middle school music teachers in Shanghai were selected for the questionnaire survey, and the occupational stress of middle school music teachers was measured by a work pressure gauge. The emotional management scale was used to collect and sort out the emotional management of middle school music teachers. This thesis explores the relationship between job stress, emotional management, and job burnout using the Job Burnout Scale, and further explores the role of emotional management in the relationship between job stress and job burnout of music teachers and non-music teachers. The results of this study are as follows:(1)The work stress of middle school music teachers has significant differences in age, gender, marriage, working years, and professional titles, but there is no significant difference in academic qualifications.(2)The emotional management level of middle school music teachers is better than that of non-music teachers, and there are significant differences in age and gender. However, there is no significant difference in marriage, educational background, working years, and professional titles.(3)Middle school music teachers' job burnout has no significant difference in age, gender, and other variables.(4)Emotional management plays a partial mediating role between job stress and music teachers' job burnout, and the mediating effect accounts for 16.7% of the total effect.Emotional management also plays a partial mediating role in job stress and job burnout of non-music teachers, and the mediating effect accounts for 12.6% of the total effect. No matter music teachers or non-music teachers, job stress can directly affect their job burnout, and it can also indirectly affect their job burnout through emotional management.(5)In interviews, both job stress and emotional management will affect the job burnout of music and non-music teachers. However, there are also differences in job stress, emotional management, and job burnout between middle school music teachers and middle school non-music teachers.Their emotional management ability is better than the average level of non-music teachers although the work pressure of middle school music teachers is in a good range, and because they are engaged in art-related work,so their job burnout is generally not strong. However, the phenomenon of a low sense of accomplishment is very obvious, which should be paid enough attention to.The professional confusion they face should not be ignored because this group has outstanding emotional management ability among teachers.
